Thank you for choosing The Agency Inc as your employment resource!  We currently serve the Burlington, Asheboro, Triad and RDU areas of North Carolina.  We have been locally owned and operated under the same ownership since inception in 1984.  Our corporate office is located in Burlington, NC.

 

What you need to know
  • It is your responsibility to contact us for employment and to update your status and record on a weekly basis.  We will assume you are no longer seeking employment otherwise.  You will also be notified as positions become available in your field.  Inform us of any changes that may affect your employment status (availability, skills, training, etc.)  Your cooperation will help us serve you and our clients better.

  • It is your decision to accept or reject a job offer.  Salary is dependent upon the job and/or company.  We recommend that you report to work 15 minutes early on your first day.

  • You are an employee of The Agency Inc, a part of our team, and represent the best we have to offer. Please take pride in your work and help us make the position permanent. Strict policies exist regarding work ethics and conduct. Failure to comply may result in termination.

  • Permanent Hire: our clients typically employ personnel on a temporary basis before offering permanent employment. Making your position permanent can be achieved with a positive attitude and good work ethics. Contact us immediately to discuss any permanent hire. The Agency Inc does not guarantee any assignment.

  • Address/Name Changes: complete new tax forms to ensure that your W2 will be mailed to the correct address. Proof your name and address on your paychecks and time cards.

  • Emergencies, Work-related Issues & Contacts: when on assignment, contact our office manager immediately (not your supervisor) when your job has ended, you cannot report to work, are running late, have problems with your assignment, or you have other job interviews. Please contact our payroll department regarding issues with your paycheck, including garnishments, deductions, as well as wage verification documents. All administrative issues are managed in our Burlington, NC office.

  • Office Hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm

  • Pay Period begins Monday and ends on Sunday of each week.

  • Payday: paychecks are available each Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Checks are not mailed. No one other than you will be allowed to pick up your paycheck.

  • Time Card Policy: hours worked are recorded on individual time cards, group timesheets, or computer generated reports issued at the assigned company. It is your responsibility to submit individual time cards to our office by 8am Monday of the following pay period. For your convenience, a time card box is located on the outside of the building at some of our offices. Make certain that your time is recorded correctly.  Incomplete time cards will not be accepted. Some clients may submit these for you. Please ask your coordinator about the policy in effect at your company.
